Hotel Jerome Owners Remain Committed to the Hotel and Rock Resorts

David Pisor, CEO of Chicago-based Elysian Worldwide, LLC and owner of the Hotel Jerome in Aspen issued a confirmation that the Main Street landmark is not for sale.  The statement came after the Aspen Daily News published a public notice that said the interests of LCP Elysian Aspen Owner LLC, would be sold at auction in New York on Monday.  The public notice states that the auction is the result of Elysian defaulting on their loan from Brockman Aspen LLC.

Special Districts Proposed for Green Projects

Special Districts Proposed for Green Projects

This fall, Pitkin County voters should see a question related to a "clean energy financing district" that would potentially sell government bonds to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements for residential and commercial properties.

This taxing district would take advantage of a 2008 state law and allow local government to sell bonds and then create programs where homeowners can submit an application for loans to do approved energy upgrades.  Costs for the improvements would be spread out over 15-20 years.   Obligations for payment would carry with the property and transfer to a new owner.
