Snow in Aspen

Snow in Aspen

After at least a week of bluebird skies and semi warm weather (for late November) a winter storm has rolled through the valley and will leave (we are keeping our fingers crossed) a nice dose of powder on the ski hills.  Temperatures are falling to sub zero over the next few days, and a continuation of the lingering storms brings anticipation of the first powder turns of the season.

Now is the perfect time to be a full time Aspen resident or early season visitor as the lines are short and parking spots are open.  We are living the dream.

Little Nell Hotel Reopens with Facelift

Little Nell Hotel Reopens with Facelift

Aspen's only five star, five diamond hotel, the Little Nell is reopening after a 3+ month remodel.  86 of 92 hotel rooms were completely redone.  Upgrades include new carpeting, stonework, furniture, fireplaces, lighting fixtures, doors, showers, tubs, toilets, refrigerators artwork and other features that make up the luxurious Little Nell hotel rooms.

Workers are still tackling some last minute touches, but for the most part, the hotel is ready for the twenty guests scheduled to arrive today.

Common spaces including the hallways and the living room in the main lobby were updated as well.

The Nell is offering $175/night special rate to locals for their grand opening December 3-9.

For reservations call 920-4600 or visit www.thelittlenell.com
