Aspen and Basalt Bears Sent To Rehab

Nine orphaned bear cubs, eight from Aspen and one from Basalt, were delivered to the Schneegas Wildlife Foundation in Silt.  The facility is a nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation center, where the bear cubs are being taught to survive on their own in the wild, especially in winter.  The facility boast a 98% success rate as to the number of bear cubs who have been rehabilitated and returned to the  wild.
