![]() Parking in Downtown Aspen Just got a Little Easier...and More ExpensiveDecember 5, 2008
For the nearly nine-hundred on-street parking spaces in Aspen's downtown core, the Verrus Pay by Phone service is now in effect. The common in-car meters are being phased out in favor of the phone-in system. The city of Aspen will continue to offer motorists the option to pay by cash or credit card on the street side kiosks located throughout downtown. To use the phone-in system, motorists must register their car with Verrus. Items kept on file are mobile phone numbers, license plate and credit card numbers. Users can register by visiting www.paybyphone.com or by calling 1-866-234-PARK (7275). Upon signing up, users can simply call the toll free number from their mobile phone and choose the amount of time they wish to park. When paying by phone, users can also choose the option to receive a text message reminder before their time expires and add more time remotely for up to four hours. Users can also call and cancel their parking at any time so they pay for the exact amount of time they wish to park. To learn more about Pay by Phone, visit www.paybyphone.com/aspenmedia.
