I recently listed 311 S. First Avenue in Aspen for $4,200,000. This totally remodelled West Aspen Victorian is adjacent to Koch Park and has easy walking access to Aspen's central core of walking, dining, and nightlife. It is a short 4 block walk to the Silver Queen gondola. The lower level boasts high ceilings and 2 full bathrooms. There is a large storage area, perfect for a wine collection or extra gear.

...and again, more is on the way
I hesitate to mention the outrageous snow conditions again so soon, but this much powder deserves the attention. In ski towns, people don't throw around the word "epic" very often; However, the 2007-2008 ski season is truly the exception. Some locals are claiming that we have had more epic powder days this year than in the last 20, and forecasters are calling for 3-7 inches a day for the next 7 days.
...the Aspen way is so contagious
The other day my assistant, Rebecca was watching the football playoffs with her husband after an exciting day of skiing the Bingo Glades on Aspen Mountain. A group from Australia sat down and began to converse with them. They have been making the long trip from Brisbane to Aspen for 11 years. When asked why, they responded with an energetic "because we love it here!" And it's not just "Aspen" that they love, it is the lifestyle and spirit of the locals that draw people to our community.
Local Athletes Prepare to Shine
X-Games is back again! It is the time of year when our streets flood with energy from the young spectators here to experience the incredible sights of the mega pipe, the skier cross and the many events that surround Winter X. This year again, there are several locals gearing up to compete for hopeful metals. Among them, Gretchen Bleiler, an Olympic silver medalist and Peter Olenik who both vie for the top spot on the podium.
...with more on the way!
December and January are going down in history in the Roaring Fork Valley. Only 2 weeks into January, Aspen and it's 4 ski mountains have recieved near record snowfall, and January is historically one of the driest months of the year.
The snow is driving tourism and bringing powder hounds to the ski slopes. The buzz from locals is reaching the masses. The consistent message from those who have lived here to experience several seasons is that this is the best snow we have seen in at least 10 years!

ASPEN — Exactly what would you call an event that is broad enough to encompass something called Gandalf Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams and a screening of “Singin’ in the Rain” (with an introduction by an octogenarian musical historian), a canine fashion show and something called the Men’s Health Village?
