Sheer Bliss Lift Scheduled for a Facelift...April 17, 2008
Fans of the Cirque area on Snowmass have reason for celebration. A new lift is scheduled to replace the old Sheer Bliss lift, originally built in the 70s. What once was a 16 minute chair ride will now be reduced to approximately 9 minutes. The new lift can carry over 2000 passengers per hour and will carry skiers higher up the mountain than the present lift, which will allow much easier access the the Cirque poma. Other on-mountain improvements scheduled to open next season include a new restaurant on Sam's Knob and in Capital Peak Lodge. Over $16 million in on-mountain improvements scheduled for this summer will greet skier and riders next December in Snowmass.
